LANSING, Mich.— Jan. 20, 2012 – PM Environmental, an environmental consulting and engineering firm, is proud to announce that this year marks its 20th anniversary in business. Founded in 1992 in Lansing, Michigan, by two environmental professionals looking to take advantage of state-funded cleanup opportunities, PM has since expanded its offerings to focus on environmental due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, engineering services, and energy consulting. Named one of the top 25 Phase I environmental assessment providers in the country, the company now has 13 offices in eight states.
In conjunction with its milestone anniversary, PM today introduced a new visual identity to reflect both its evolution and its ongoing commitment to providing clarity to its clients.

Notable company milestones:
- 1992: PM Environmental is incorporated.
- 1993: PM completes its 50th environmental assessment and opens its first regional office. The new location in Royal Oak, MI, serves clients in the metropolitan Detroit area.
- 1994: PM moves its headquarters to an environmentally impaired site, which it remediates, putting the brownfield back into active use.
- 1995: PM purchases its first of three hydraulically powered soil probe drilling units that allows it to conduct more efficient subsurface investigations and pass on cost savings to customers.
- 1997: PM opens its third office—in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A year later it will open an office in Decatur, Alabama, its first in the Southeast.
- 1999: PM begins offering pilot and feasibility study services.
- 2004: The company receives ISO 9001 registration from certifying body AQSR, helping to ensure that it meets the quality management systems needs of its customers.
- 2008: PM opens two new offices, one in Miami, Florida, and one in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- 2009: PM begins to offer energy and sustainability consulting to meet growing demand through its subsidiary Energy Finance Analytics (EFAnow.com).
- 2010: PM opens an office in Charlotte, North Carolina. That same year, the company is ranked among the nation’s top 25 providers of Phase I environmental assessments according to Environmental Data Resources.
- 2010: PM opens second office in Tennessee in Nashville.
- 2011: PM opens a second Florida office in Tampa.
- 2012: PM marks two decades in business by unveiling a new visual identity.
