PM Environmental Expands the Property Condition Assessment Group

PM Environmental welcomes Ginny Schomisch and Logan DeClercq to its Property Condition Assessment group.

Ginny Schomisch earned her B.S. in architecture from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in historic preservation from Eastern Michigan University (EMU).

Logan DeClercq obtained a B.S. in architecture and sustainability from Ferris State University.

Located in Berkley, Michigan, full-time staff members Schomisch and DeClercq  will perform building evaluations for commercial, office, medical, and multifamily properties to identify any deficiencies regarding building maintenance, code compliance as well as evaluate the condition of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, and fire protection/life safety systems.

Schomisch obtained a B.S. in architecture from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in historic preservation (HP) from Eastern Michigan University (EMU). During graduate school, she worked at EMU in the HP department as a graduate assistant to the program director, served as a volunteer at the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office, and worked at the City of Monroe as a historic preservationist and city planning assistant. In her previous position, Schomisch was the director of the Village of Oxford’s Downtown Development Authority in Michigan.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of a new role in the architectural realm, since I’ve been in government positions for some time,” said Schomisch. “My new position reverts back to lots of our projects at EMU. I’m also looking forward to being able to see a variety of different building types, sizes and systems, as well as being part of the whole PM team!”

DeClercq obtained a B.S. in architecture and sustainability from Ferris State University.  Prior to being hired on full-time basis, DeClercq interned with PM in its Grand Rapids office since September. She also was a design intern at Heritage Oaks Design.

“I’m really looking forward to traveling around the state and country,” said DeClercq. “I’m also looking forward to having a part in Detroit’s comeback!”

PM is proud to have DeClercq and Schomisch as part of its team, helping clients clearly understand their risks and make sound, well-informed business decisions.
