John Hargraves Presents Rural Brownfield Success Stories at the Tennessee Environmental Conference

John Hargraves, P.G., brownfield group regional manager at PM Environmental will be speaking at the annual Tennessee Environmental Conference on Wednesday, March 16 at the MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn.

His presentation, “Rural Brownfield Success Stories in the Mid-South” will showcase various Brownfield success and soon-to-be success stories in rural communities, including the funding mechanisms and incentives that were used during redevelopment.

He will also detail consistent characteristics of the Brownfield programs that were instrumental to the projects. Communities highlighted include Union City, TN, Saltillo, TN, Upper Cumberland Tennessee region, Campbell County, TN, and the Golden Triangle region in Mississippi.

“This conference is a great opportunity to expose PM’s expertise to an area where we have an existing client base for brownfields but is one of our target geographic areas to continue growth,” said Hargraves. The event is the state’s largest and most comprehensive educational opportunity.

Over 500 local, state, and federal government officials, business and industry leaders, attorneys, consultants, engineers, developers, land owners, architects, agribusiness leaders, energy experts, water planning districts, universities, public health officials, solid waste and recycling experts, and many others will be in attendance.

“There will be attendees from rural communities that can hopefully receive some information they can take back and use in their planning for the future,” said Hargraves.
