Rebecca Rhea Obtains Asbestos Inspector Certification

Rebecca Rhea, staff consultant at PM Environmental, recently earned accreditation as an Asbestos Inspector through the University of Alabama SafeState program.

Accreditation is required by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) to perform asbestos abatement within the state. State and federal laws require accreditation in all other related disciplines. Training course accreditation is also required for training programs that train workers, supervisors, inspectors, management planners, and project designers.

Going into the training, Rhea said was looking forward to learning more about the asbestos inspecting process as well as to use the knowledge she gained from course to help PM.

“PM will benefit by having another person in the southeast who is an accredited Asbestos Inspector,” said Rhea.  “I’m really looking forward to being able to help with the many asbestos remediation projects we currently work on in the area.”
