Drilling Services

PM Environmental owns Model 5400 & 6610 DT Geoprobe systems and subcontracts a limited number of independent environmental drilling companies experienced in environmental sampling and monitoring well installation.  Drilling and monitoring well installation are performed in accordance with industry standard procedures as well as EPA decontamination and well installation protocols.  PM Environmental seeks competitive bids from a number of qualified contractors to provide our clients with quality services at competitive rates.

These drilling rigs offer a range of capabilities using direct-push and/or hollow-stem methods, from relatively easy drilling to difficult access, repetitive or deep drilling, and angle hole drilling situations.

The Field Services division of PM Environmental Inc., maintains a comprehensive list of technical equipment, which provides the Field Services division with a technical edge and superiority in project quality.

Troll 9000 and YSI 556 MPS Multi-Parameter Meters:
PM utilizes In-Situ Troll 9000 Profiler and YSI Model 556 PMS Multi-Parameter Meters with Integrated Dataloggers.  These meters facilitate in-situ collection of various chemical and physical groundwater parameters, and enable low-flow sampling in accordance with USEPA guidelines.  PME also operates two (2) HACH Model 2100P Turbidimeters.

Keck ET, KIR, and Geotech Water Level/Interface Meters:
PM maintains a total of five (5) Keck ET, KIR, and Geotech water level and interface probes, which allow Field Services to quickly determine static water level and/or product thickness measurements.

Geo-Pump and Masterflex Peristaltic Pumps:
Four (4) Peristaltic sampling pumps are now in use by PME, allowing Field Services to low-flow sample small diameter monitoring wells screened up to 27 feet deep.  These pumps are capable of utilizing both fixed and portable power sources, enabling water sampling on sites where power is not available and those not accessible by vehicle.

Waterra 12 Volt Submersible Pumps:
PM also operates two (2) submersible Waterra pumps allowing Field Services to low-flow sample 2.0 inch diameter and larger monitoring wells which are screened up to 60 feet deep.

Mini-Rae and Thermo Environmental Instruments Photo-Ionization Detectors:
PM utilizes a total of four (4) PIDs, including three (3) Mini-Rae Model 2000 and one (1) Thermo Environmental Instruments Model 580B PID.  These PIDs enable field screening of soils in any weather condition.

Schonstedt Model 52CX Magnetometers:

Two (2) Schonstedt Model 52CX Magnetometers are employed by Field Services, which allow the completion of electromagnetic (EM) surveys and the location of ferrous objects beneath soil or snow cover.

Topcon GTS210 Total Station:

PME recently acquired a Topcon Model GTS210 total station and associated FC200 datalogger, which enable Field Services to create detailed three dimensional maps of site features.
