PM Environmental (PM) is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric Guikema to Manager of Architectural Services.
Guikema joined PM in April 2012 as a project manager in PM’s Architectural Consulting Department. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Facility Management from Ferris State University, his Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from Grand Valley State University, and his Associate of Applied Science in Architecture from Grand Rapids Community College.
Guikema specializes in third-party due diligence and architectural evaluation services. He regularly works with lending institutions, investors, public housing authorities, and facility and property managers. Since joining the Architectural Consulting Department in 2012, he has successfully authored hundreds of architectural due diligence reports ranging from typical commercial, industrial and residential properties to agency multi-family, shopping malls, hospitality and resort properties, large portfolios, and equity-level reporting on high-rise buildings. His role expanded to include development of construction loan reporting, development of a network of trade subcontractors, quoting the department’s work, and department planning, organization, and training activities. He is a member of the West Michigan Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
“I’m happy to be serving as the Manager of Architectural Services at PM and I am looking forward to creating prosperous relationships with new clients, continuing to serve our regular client base, and to continue developing and refining our services and processes,” said Guikema.
In his new role, Guikema will oversee all aspects of the technical quality, management, and profitability of PM’s Architectural Services contracts. He will also assist in the development and implementation of business development activities, and oversee public and professional relations for the department.
“Eric has provided solid architectural consulting services to our clients and has been a dedicated member of the PM team for many years. He has always shown professionalism and integrity, which are just a few of the many reasons we are excited to announce his promotion. I am looking forward to the positive impact Eric will have as Manager of Architectural Services and the subsequent improvements that will no doubt result from his new role at PM,” said Kristin Gable, National Manager of Due Diligence at PM.
Guikema will continue to enhance PM’s team of experts who have in-depth experience in managing environmental projects with a constant focus on helping our clients clearly understand their risks, allowing them to make sound, well-informed business decisions.
